In 2009, flexible AMOLED was developed by Samsung Display.

In 2006, at '”MID 2006” held in Daegu, a 70-inch full HD LCD panel was introduced.

In 2005, S-LCD, a joint venture between Samsung Electronics and Sony Japan, commemorated the operation of the world's first 7th generation substrate TFT-LCD panel mass production line.

In 2004, S-LCD, established by Samsung Electronics and Sony Japan as a joint venture, was officially launched on the 15th at the founding ceremony held at Tangjeong Complex in Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do.
  • 04 - Renamed company from Samsung NEC Mobile Display to Samsung OLED
  • 07 - ConclUHDed an agreement with Samsung Electronics-Sony as a joint venture of TFT-LCD (S-LCD Corporation)
In 2003, 57-inch Full HD TFT-LCD was developed.

In 2002, Samsung Electronics' "40-inch TFT-LCD digital HD-TV" won the Presidential Award at the "9th Korea Multimedia Technology Awards".
